Final Standings for 2007 Player of the Year 12/17/06 - 11/11/07

The November Allendale sectional has now been posted, and the 2007 Player of the Year races have been decided.

Nicole Ledoux picked up three more points in Allendale to close out her solid win in the Novice category. Carole Gelfer won the Saturday morning Open Pairs in Allendale to win the Intermediate category, passing the partnership of Cyndi Morissey and Mary Beth Birchby who led this race for much of the year.

George Weber hit the overalls in three events to seal his win in the Under 300 category. Charles Fuchs and Edward Vadala both came up just short in the closest of the five races. Sandy Johnson hit the overalls of four Allendale events to win the under 1000 category, edging out frequent partner Victor Hsu.

Lee Ohliger posted 20 points in Allendale to cap off his win in the over 1000 and overall races by 8.5 points over regular partner Blair Seidler. Lee and Blair won the Reitman Teams together, then placed in several events in Allendale, including a second place finish in the Flight A Swiss.

Congratulations to the 2007 winners! The first event which will count towards the 2008 Player of the Year races is the Annual Dinner game on December 16th. Hope to see you there.

    All points awarded at the Annual Dinner (Seiden Trophy), Unit 106
    Sectionals held at one location (Allendale), John Macchi Unit Wides,
    Bob Johnke Teams, and the Nelson Reitman Teams are used. No other
    event qualifies. All players over 1000 MP are eligible for LM award.
