Unit 106 has had a growth in new players and former players becoming active in the clubs. This is due to the many classes and lessons being offered. If you check the Unit Directory, times and games arelisted for all of the clubs. Listed below is information I received.
Sparta is offering classes using the Audrey Grant series on Friday nights for the Sparta Park and Recreation Dept. Each series lasts eight weeks. A new club series is starting in January.
Rockland Bridge Center, at present is offering a Monday night supervised play game for 0-100. This game starts at 7 sharp with a lecture and play begins at 7:15. Wednesday night there is a 0-500 game with supervision and discussion. There is also a supervised game with lecture at 9 on Thursday morning. Classes are being planned for the spring for Play of the Hand; Commonly used Conventions, Advanced Beginners Play of the Hand as well as a Beginners class. Check in late March for days and times.
Wyckoff Bridge Center has an advanced lesson at 12 prior to Monday's open game. Tuesday Morning there is 0/99 Lesson and game. On Wednesday at 9:30 Easy Bridge II and a Lesson at 12 before the 0-299 game. Thursday at 7 a 0/99 Lesson and game. Friday a lesson and supervised play at 11:00 Easy Bridge workshops are scheduled on varied Saturdays at 10. Check at the club for schedule.
Many Lessons are offered at the Maywood Club. A lesson is offered prior to the intermediate game at 7 on Monday evening. Beginner II Classes on Tuesday at 9:30 as well as Sat. at 9:30. Wednesday classes are offered at 9:30 for Beginner 1 and 7:30 a supervised play. Thursday has a Beginner 1 class at 9:30 and a lesson at 7 before the 0-199 game.
